Lourdes Sanchez

Lourdes is a trained Engineer specialized in environmental sustainability. Of Spanish origin, she holds Spanish and Swiss nationalities and has lived and worked in over 10 countries across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.

Lourdes joins Unitaid after 18+ years of experience in environmental sustainability, international development, and climate policy, working at private and public companies, collaborating with governments and international organizations. In her most recent role, she was responsible for developing and deploying the decarbonization strategy of cosmetic products, as well as guiding investment in carbon-smart alternatives at a leading cosmetics company.
