Every two minutes, a woman dies from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Despite advances in global health, critical gaps in women’s health remain, particularly in access to lifesaving maternal and newborn health products. These gaps have devastating consequences not only for women but for communities worldwide.
Unitaid is working to close these gaps through innovation, sustainable financing, and partnerships. As a proud supporter of the Global Alliance for Women’s Health, Unitaid is joining the World Economic Forum and over 100 organizations in creating and amplifying solutions for women’s health.
In a new video featuring Unitaid Board Chair Marisol Touraine alongside other champions for women’s health, we highlight the urgent need to invest in addressing these gaps. Women’s health is not optional – it is fundamental to achieving better global health outcomes and boosting economic growth. Every US$1 invested in women’s health unlocks US$3 in economic returns, creating healthier families and stronger communities.
