How to apply for funding

If you would like to respond to an open call for proposals, complete the grant proposal form and all eight annexes and submit them to proposalsUnitaid@unitaid.who.int by the deadline indicated in the call listing.

Please note:

The proposal form is unique to each call for proposals and can be downloaded from the call listing.


A proposal is considered as submitted only once you receive an email confirming receipt. The confirmation email is not automated and will be sent within one working day following the deadline. If you do not receive confirmation within one working day, please contact us at proposalsUnitaid@unitaid.who.int.

Our email system accepts messages up to 8 MB in size. For submissions exceeding this size, please consider splitting your submission into several messages.

QUESTIONNAIRE
Assessment

Proposals are assessed by our Joint Review Committee, composed of
representatives from the Secretariat and the Proposal Review Committee.
They are assessed based on the following criteria.

  • General fit
  • Technical criteria
  • Potential feasibility
  • Rationale and strategic alignment
  • Impact
  • Organizational capacity
  • Proposal design and alignment
  • Budget
  • Compliance
  • Potential risks

Successful applications will receive a formal go-ahead and develop the proposal into a full grant agreement including a project plan, budget and logical framework. The finalized grant agreement will then be submitted to the Proposal Review Committee before submission to the Executive Board for final approval.
