Geneva – Unitaid has joined a call by 33 global health organizations for G20 countries to make health a high priority and to establish a permanent policy forum for global health.

In an open letter last week to G20 leaders, who are meeting at a summit in Hamburg on July 7-8,  signatories also called on leaders to address critical health challenges such as emerging and drug-resistant infectious diseases.

In addition, the signatories encouraged G20 leaders to include the conclusions of the inaugural Health Ministers’ declaration in the G20 communique to be issued in Hamburg.

Please find links to the open letter and to the accompanying press release.
