Unitaid mourns passing of UNFPA’s Dr Babatunde Osotimehin

Geneva, Switzerland – Unitaid joins the global health community in mourning the death of Dr. Babatunde Osotimehin, Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), who passed away suddenly on 4 June 2017.

“Dr. Osotimehin was a true leader, a champion for the health and well-being of women and young girls,” said Unitaid Executive Director Lelio Marmora. “We have lost a great man, but his example will continue to inspire and motivate us.”
