From breakthrough to access: Making lenacapavir affordable for all

Polokwane, South Africa

As the President of the G20, South Africa’s National Department of Health and Unitaid will co-host a high-level meeting focused on making the revolutionary injectable HIV preventive medicine, lenacapavir, affordable for all. Building on recent pricing breakthroughs secured by Unitaid and other partners that have reduced the price of the injectable to US$40 per person per year, the session will lead discussion on how to address the remaining barriers that impede equitable access to lenacapavir and sustainable supply.
