One Health Summit

The One Health Summit, held from 5 to 7 April 2026 in Lyon, France, brings together Heads of State, international organizations, scientists, civil society, and private sector leaders to advance a more integrated approach to global health, recognizing the interconnections between human, animal, and environmental health. As a high-level, action-oriented moment on the global health calendar, the Summit focuses on addressing shared challenges such as pandemics, antimicrobial resistance, climate change, and environmental degradation, while promoting coordinated, science-based solutions across sectors.

For Unitaid, the Summit provides a critical opportunity to contribute to ongoing efforts to strengthen the global health architecture and ensure that equitable access to innovation remains at its core. As global health actors work toward more coordinated, country-driven and sustainable approaches, Unitaid brings two decades of experience in bridging the gap between innovation and access, helping to ensure that new health tools reach the people who need them most, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. This perspective aligns closely with the broader commitments to equity, access, and country ownership reflected in the evolving global health agenda.

Throughout the Summit, Unitaid is actively engaged in high-level discussions and partner dialogues, highlighting how innovation, market shaping, and strategic partnerships can strengthen health systems and improve resilience to emerging threats. From addressing infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance to supporting more climate-resilient and integrated health systems, Unitaid emphasizes the importance of translating political commitments into concrete, scalable solutions that advance health for all within a One Health framework.
